Operations Support Executive - Military veterans preferred

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and controls the operations activities in the DCs of responsibility
• Works closely with Contract Manager - Logistics in managing DC in accordance with determined methodologies
• Drives and closely controls DC of responsibility to ensure that the operational teams provide smooth warehouse operations and stay within the budget
• Recommends an organizational structure for the DC of responsibility, which clearly outlines responsibilities and accountabilities
• Identifies where the operations should be improved , then, develops and implements initiatives and processes for warehouse operations
• Identifies and analyzes operational problems in DC of responsibility and develops solutions to enhance operations
• Sets KPI, targets and goals for monitoring and evaluating operations and cost effectiveness.
• Ensures that appropriate operations-related information is correctly and efficiently stored and processed and made available at all times
• Drives for and controls the effective use of DC resources in order to stay within approved budget
• Ensures that the DC of responsibility comply with prevailing legal and statutory requirements in all aspects
• Develop a culture of quality, service excellence and cost consciousness in DCs of responsibility
• Procures transportation services and provides control to ensure effective and on-time delivery of goods
• Coordinates and controls outsourced labor providers to ensure continuous and reliable services
• Provides managerial control over the use of tools and equipment to ensure that they are in good working condition and sufficiently available and ready for use at all times
• Participates in safety committee and allow and support staff to participate in safety committee as required.
• Advises and trains the employees to carry out work without cause which may be unsafe to work.
• Ensures that the employees comply with the rules, regulations, instructions, orders or measures relating to work safety.
• Conducts Hazard Analysis with Safety Committee and inform the employees of the hazards in the workplace.
• Check the performance of the place of operations according to the work plan, project or measures on work safety.
• Complies with company OHS policy and procedures.

Ensures the conduct of annual drills of emergency and evacuation as required by the law or company policy

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in any field.
• 2-5 Years experience in Warehouse Operation / Improvement / Analyze data.
• Good communication and leadership skills, Good command of written and spoken English, Computer literate.
• Required competencies for Supply Chain Management.
