The School Psychology program in the Department of Education at Clark University invites applications for a full-time Assistant Professor in our new M.Ed./Ed.S. in School Psychology program. This position begins Summer 2025. The primary responsibilities of the selected candidate will include teaching graduate courses, providing clinical supervision of practicum and internship students, advising and mentoring students, developing relationships with local schools and districts, and supporting the program's pursuit of accreditation by the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP).

Primary Responsibilities:
- Teach and advise graduate students in school psychology courses; the standard teaching load is 3:3 and includes oversight of student portfolios.
- Serve as School Psychology Internship Coordinator and Credential Coordinator.
- Provide university-based supervision for practica and internships.
- Actively contribute to program administration and related activities.
- Mentor and advise graduate students to support their professional competence and skill development.
- Participate in departmental and college initiatives and activities.
- Provide leadership in service and outreach to the university, school districts/other agencies, and the profession of School Psychology.
- Cultivate partnerships with local school districts to develop fieldwork and internship opportunities.
- Support the program's efforts to achieve and maintain accreditation through the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP).
- Take a lead role in planning and delivering cohort-based and program-specific trainings and events; contribute to ongoing service, program development, and professional engagement within the university, community, and field.
Job Requirements:Minimum Qualifications
- Earned doctorate degree in school psychology from a NASP-approved and/or APA-accredited program prior to the Fall 2025 start date. The search committee will consider applicants with an earned doctorate in a highly related field with a doctoral specialization in school psychology.
- Eligible for certification as a school psychologist in Massachusetts and commitment to obtain this state credential if hired.
- Evidence of success in prior graduate-level teaching and student mentoring.
- Experience with graduate curriculum standards in school psychology.
- Relevant work experience in K-12 settings.
- Commitment to supporting a range of student needs and backgrounds in graduate preparation programs.
- Demonstrated understanding of, commitment to, and ability to teach in accordance with the university and program missions.
- Demonstrated commitment to promoting justice, diversity, equity, and inclusion and integrating these principles into teaching across content areas.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a practicing school psychologist.
- Experience supervising school psychology practicum students and/or interns.
- Eligible for licensure as a doctoral level psychologist in Massachusetts and commitment to obtain this state credential if hired.
- Holding the Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP) credential.
- Substantial knowledge of evidence-based interventions across levels of service intensity, with relevant expertise in social, emotional, and behavioral domains (as demonstrated through prior teaching or practice).
- Bilingual expertise and experience working with culturally and linguistically diverse P-12 students.
- Leadership experience in school psychology, such as within training programs or related organizations and associations.
- Experience with instructional technology applications and distance delivery methods for graduate education.
- Effective communication and collaboration with a range of key groups in education, such as university colleagues, school leaders, teachers, and related service providers.
- Membership and active involvement in professional organizations relevant to school psychology.
- Candidates with sustained engagement with minoritized communities underrepresented in higher education and demonstrated ability to integrate this asset into teaching and program development.
- Evidence of successful teaching, advising, and supervision of students at the graduate level.
- Demonstrated scholarly productivity connected to the field of school psychology and education.
- Demonstrated experience providing school psychological services to all populations
- Potential to provide service to schools, professional associations, and other agencies
- Experience in school psychology program development.
- Experience with tech-enabled school psychological services.
