Head of Human Resources, Fiji

DHL Express (Fiji) Pte Ltd invites applications for the above position based at the Suva Office.

What this job entails :

  • Providing comprehensive strategic HR leadership to support business objectives to strengthen DHL's position as an employer of choice.

  • Leading the HR function by providing HR management advice and expertise to maximize the effectiveness and efficiency of HR in achieving business success.

  • Implementing effective recruitment policies and procedures to attract, retain, and develop top talent.

  • Identifying training needs and creating programs to enhance skills and productivity across the organization.

  • Facilitate internal trainings for all employees and provide advice to supervisors and management on recruitment and learning and development.

  • Collaborating with executive leadership to foster effective internal communications and employee engagement.

  • Overseeing compensation and benefits policies and programs to ensure competitiveness in the market.

  • Driving performance management and recognition programs that motivate and reward excellence.

  • Promoting quality and safety in all HR activities while adhering to global and local policies, and act as management representative in the OH&S committee.

  • Implementing Employee Relations programs and policies to provide a supportive working environment suitable to achieving business goals and objectives.

  • Overseeing the payroll management and relevant HR data reporting.

  • Liaising with all relevant internal and external stakeholders.

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Bachelors Degree or higher in Business Administration / Human Resources.

  • Minimum of 5 years relevant HR experience in a leadership role.

  • Sound knowledge of local labour laws and legislations.

  • Strong capabilities in process development and implementation.

  • Professional demeanour with mutual respect towards peers.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with senior management.

  • Proficient in developing and delivering presentations.

  • Understanding of management principles, processes, and procedures.

  • Strategic thinker and insightful decision-maker.

  • Capable of analysing and resolving problems effectively.
