Responsibilities

The primary focus is on effective vendor management, strategic sourcing of transport prices for both existing and new projects, and comprehensive fleet management, including oversight of dedicated subcontractors and owned fleet operations.

Core Responsibilities

  • Vendor Management: Oversee and manage a diverse portfolio of over 100 subcontractors, ensuring high performance and compliance with DHL standards.
  • Transport Price Sourcing: Lead the sourcing and negotiation process for transport pricing for both ongoing projects and new initiatives, ensuring competitive rates and service quality.
  • Fleet Management: Supervise fleet operations, including dedicated subcontractors and owned vehicles, to ensure optimal efficiency and adherence to safety standards.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Vendor Management:
      • Develop and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
      • Monitor subcontractor performance against established KPIs.
      • Conduct regular performance reviews and audits to assess compliance with safety policies and operational standards.
      • Implement improvement plans for underperforming subcontractors, focusing on cost efficiency and service quality.
      • Facilitate monthly meetings with subcontractors to discuss performance, challenges, and opportunities for growth.
  • Transport Price Sourcing:
      • Analyze market trends and pricing strategies to ensure competitive transport pricing for both existing and new projects.
      • Collaborate with the Operations Team and Project Team to understand project requirements and align pricing strategies accordingly.
      • Negotiate contracts and agreements with subcontractors to secure favorable terms and conditions, focusing on cost savings and service reliability and following DPDHL Group Supplier Code of Conduct.
  • Fleet Management:
      • Oversee the management of dedicated subcontractors and owned fleet operations, ensuring adherence to transport safety strategies and OSCP compliance.
      • Conduct regular fleet assessments to optimize utilization and mitigate risks associated with supply shortages.
      • Implement a proactive approach to fleet management, including regular maintenance schedules and performance evaluations.
      • Ensure that all fleet operations are compliant with relevant laws and regulations, including safety training and reporting of near misses and BBS incidents.
  • Others
      • Ensure safety and compliance with all transport regulations and policies.
      • Achieve and monitor KPI targets related to subcontractor performance, cost management, and fleet efficiency.
      • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational effectiveness and service delivery.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience:
      • Minimum of 5 years of experience in vendor management, logistics, or supply chain management, with a focus on transport operations.
      • Proven track record of managing subcontractors and negotiating contracts effectively.
  • Skills:
      • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex situations and develop effective solutions.
      • Excellent negotiation skills and experience in sourcing and procurement.
      • Proficient in performance management and KPI tracking.
      • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with subcontractors and internal stakeholders.
      • Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards in transport and logistics.
      • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with logistics management software, data analysis tools, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
