Job Details

Description

Responsible for providing direct patient care within the practice & directive of collaborating physician; assessment and management of patients; day to day implementation and evaluation of the appropriate plan of care; serving as a consultant, researcher, and educator.

Focused on spine pathology and related musculoskeletal disorders.

Independent outpatient clinic caseload focused on spine-related conditions.

Assist with injections, procedures, and surgery as desired/needed.

No nights, weekends, or overnight call obligations.

Work with experienced spine-focused orthopedic surgeons in a collaborative model.

Performs history & physicals, documentation of findings; communication with collaborating Provider.

Orders appropriate diagnostic testing; reviews results/ informs patients & Providers of findings and required follow up.

Patient education and support.

Ensures continuity of care for follow-up treatments.

Other duties as necessary under direction of Provider/s and Administration.

Required

Active Kentucky Advanced Practice Registered Nurse license; FNP.ACLS/BLS required.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with high focus on quality patient care in teamwork-oriented environment.previous work experience as a Nurse Practitioner; medical office/ hospital experience highly preferred.

Preferred

Experience with spinal stenosis, degenerative disc disease, herniated disc, and other spinal-related disorders.
Background in Orthopaedics or related specialty highly preferred
