Nanophotonics Postdoctoral Associate

The Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Pittsburgh invites applications for a postdoctoral research position in nanophotonics in the research group of Dr. Zhujun Shi. Candidates should have experience with the design and fabrication of nanophotonic devices.
The successful candidate will contribute to research on advanced photonic system integration, with applications in both classical and quantum computing. Applicants should have a strong background in the design and fabrication of nanophotonic devices. Prior experience in integrated photonics and/or MEMS technologies is highly desirable.
Position Details:
The position is funded for two years and potentially one more year with mutual agreement. Annual salary starts at $ 62,232 with annual raises. Benefits include health/dental/vision coverage as well as optional access to other university benefits. Start date is negotiable but preferably by the end of September 2025. Applications will be considered on a rolling basis until the position is filled.
Required:
. A PhD in Physics, Applied Physics, Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering or related fields
