Job Title: Behavioral Services Coordinator - Middle/High School
Location: Onsite- Boston
Position Type: Full-Time
The Baker Center for Children and Families (also known as Judge Baker Children's Center), promotes the best possible mental health of children and families through the integration of research, intervention, training, and policy.
The Individual Support Team (IST) Behavioral Services Coordinator is a managerial position within the Behavioral Services Department responsible for consistent application of evidence-based behavioral practices and the supervision of Milieu Counselors for the Manville School. The primary focus of the IST Behavioral Services Coordinator is to oversee the implementation of advanced tiers of support for students in need of specialized behavioral interventions. The IST Behavioral Services Coordinator collaborates with the Universal Support Team (UST) Behavioral Services Coordinator and the Board-Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA) to develop and implement small group interventions and behavior support plans designed to strengthen students' school readiness skills. This individual will also provide modeling, coaching, training, and direct crisis management for the Manville School.

Essential duties:
  • Monitors the entry of behavioral data and completion of incident reports and physical management reports to ensure timeliness and accuracy.
  • Oversees/facilitates communication in a timely manner with caregivers regarding significant behavioral events (e.g., physical restraint, suspension, etc.).
  • Provides management and leadership of behavioral services in Manville School, in collaboration with UST Behavioral Services Coordinator.
  • Facilitates training and coaching opportunities with classroom teams utilizing a Behavioral Skills Training model.
  • Supervises Milieu Counselors and the Board-Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA).
  • Ensures the Manville School is adhering to Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) framework.
  • Oversees the referral process for BCBA support, related assessments, and behavior support plans.
  • Supervises the Assessment classroom team in conjunction with other members of the Individual Support Team.
  • Supports the daily operations of the Manville School in collaboration with the Assistant Principal and other managers.
  • Attends and actively participates in managerial/administrative meetings.
  • Attends/Co-facilitates all mandatory trainings (e.g., CPI, PBIS, OT, etc.).
  • Attends quarterly student progress meetings to facilitate behavioral updates.
  • Attends regular supervision with Assistant Principal and/or Director of Behavioral Services and incorporates their feedback effectively into day-to-day work.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education:
  • Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Social Work, Psychology, or related field
Experience:
  • A minimum of one year serving as a supervisor and/or manager.
  • 2 or more years working with children.
Training:
  • Training in crisis management and verbal de-escalation techniques.

Salary: $85,000 - $100,000
