Minimal Requirement:
Performs a variety of independent laboratory work and experiments such as determining experimental protocols and preparation of specimens and cultures. Prepares reports of findings subsequent to compilation and analyzation. Oversees animal inventory. Develops documentation for publication, crafts manuscripts and grant proposals.
Job summary:
• Performs a variety of independent laboratory work and experiments, including determining experimental protocols and preparing laboratory specimens and cultures.
• Analyzes experimental data and interprets results; compiles results; writes reports and summaries of findings.
• Maintains and oversees animal inventory and ordering. Maintains lab and chemical inventory.
• Keeps detailed, accurate, and timely data and logbooks.
• Prepares data, graphs, tables, and charts to document experimental results for publication.
• Writes manuscripts and grant proposals; performs literature searches; summarizes findings for reports and written documentations.
• Consults with other researchers and staff regarding laboratory procedures and experiments.
• Develops recommendations and problem resolutions to improve research efforts.

The candidate must be highly organized with a strong attention to detail. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team. Will act as support of basic biological research.
Moderate physical effort required. May be required to stand/move for several hours at a time. May be required to move objects up to 50 pounds with or without assistance of equipment.
