Job Description:

Participate in design and ensure implementation of Gateway Operations plans and processes to manage and support the Gateway location, to ensure efficient and timely handling of customer materials and shipments, in line with business strategy and objectives, corporate guidelines and policies.

More specifically:

• Review escalations and ensure compliance with safety, security, regulatory, and company policies.
• Responsible for managing reports and arising issues, ensuring compliance with security and protection regulations, as well as with company requirements and policies
• Cooperate with senior management for overall efficient and effective Gateway operations regarding personnel and services.
• Works closely with DHL’s air network and ensures, through partners, the high-quality, efficient, and secure handling of DHL flights
• Coordinates and plans the optimal operation of the domestic linehaul in cooperation with DHL stations and agent network
• Track and ensure all material is picked up and delivered from/to all area accounts in accordance with corporate guidelines, customer expectations and government regulations.
• Use structured approach to manage efficient and safe handling of all customer materials.
• Monitor trends and ensure compliance with import/export regulations, duties, and tariffs in some markets.
• Deliver operational plans to ensure on-time gathering of goods from warehouse.
• Responsible for risk assessment and monitoring of compliance regarding flight safety, aviation security, and ground handling of materials
• Design and develop new ways to improve delivery quality and shorten deliver time.
• Prepare content and deliver training to sales representatives in smaller locations and manage performance in accordance with organizational policies, procedures, and performance management processes.
• Ensures the effective and smooth operation of the Gateway by actively supporting and guiding teams, creating a working environment of respect and collaboration

Required Qualifications:

• University degree, preferably in a relevant field.

• Minimum of 7 years of professional experience.

• Excellent knowledge of relevant corporate systems and processes.

• Solid understanding of station management procedures.

• Ability to monitor and analyze KPIs.

• Good understanding of air transportation and logistics processes.

• Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken.

• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office.

• Ability to work under pressure and manage time efficiently.

• Strong analytical thinking.

• Capability to interpret data, service KPIs, and cost reports.

• Knowledge of health, safety, and compliance regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with aviation operations (e.g., cargo flight handling, airside safety, ramp procedures).

• Experience with warehousing and freight handling systems.

• Familiarity with customs and security procedures.

• Understanding of ICAO, IATA, and local Civil Aviation Authority regulations.

• Knowledge of DHL Express air network operations.

• Experience with Safety Management Systems (SMS).
