Adjunct Faculty for Interior Design

Located in Greater Boston, MassBay is a comprehensive, open-access community college offering associate degrees and certificate programs on three campuses in Wellesley Hills, Framingham, and Ashland, Massachusetts.
Position Summary:
MassBay Community College seeksqualified part time instructors for the current and future semesters to teachcourses in and related to Interior Design, including, but not limited to,Introduction to Interior Design, Architectural Drawing for Interior Design,Materials in Design, History of Home Furnishings, Interior Design withCAD/AutoCAD, Color Theory and Techniques, and Commercial and ResidentialPresentation Techniques. Fields of potential courses may also include Business,Marketing, and Management.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a passion for teaching and promotingsuccess among a diverse student population. The candidate is expected tocommit to excellence in teaching and learning, collaboration and professionaldevelopment. Adjunct faculty are expected to deliver course materials in alearner-centered environment conducive to engaging students in the learningprocess. The faculty member will communicate consistently and effectively withstudents, other faculty and administrators, and respond to communicationswithin a 24-hour period. They will be responsible for managing this coursethrough timely grading of assignments, providing substantial student feedbackwith assignments, submission of clinical evaluations, attendance and grades.
Our adjunct instructors hold a master’s degree in a related discipline and haveobtained appropriate certification and/or licensure where applicable.

Salary Range: $1,343.00 - 1,524.00 DCE Per Credit
