Description
The EW Division of Leidos is looking for a Technical Program Manager to join our cross-functional engineering team using innovative technology to develop truly novel solutions for the Department of Defense (DoD).
Primary Responsibilities.
Manage the continuing development of Leidos-St. Petersburg, Florida’s Adaptive Fusion Tracker (AFT) system.
Responsible for the AFT system business development activities marketing and booking contracts with the US government and foreign military services (FMS).
Manage and engage in the conversion of AFT software from monolithic to microservice architecture.
Responsibility for project schedule, budget, and drives cross-functional technical team to achieve technical objectives.
Lead a team of software engineers on the AFT program through complete lifecycle phases including requirements, concept development, design reviews, validation and verification, and release as a service using established formal IEEE systems engineering process.
Responsible managing relationships with customers, technical staff, and supply chain.
Basic Qualifications.
US Citizenship required. An active DoD Secret with the ability to obtain a Top-Secret clearance is required for consideration.
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related discipline, and 15+ years track management software development.
15+ years of systems/software engineering experience on the Adaptive Fusion Tracker (AFT) system.
A working knowledge of Windows-based Information Systems and LINUX operating systems.
Experience administering a Linux information system and incorporating Linux into a Windows Domain.
Experience with C/C++, Java, Linux. Real-time software development experience
The qualified candidate shall have excellent customer service skills and the ability to work Independently, prioritize, schedule, and complete multiple tasks.
Proven experience all phases of Software Engineering including requirements, design, code, test and integration.
Broad Engineering background sufficient to analyze design data related to electrical, software, mechanical, and physical science disciplines. Position requires working with subject matter experts to make design trade-offs with respect to cost and performance.
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills are required for effective interface with all internal and external contacts.
Familiarity with online tools used by the Federal Government for solicitations and proven record of success developing opportunities within the DoD community.
