We’re looking for an Account Executive, Payments for our office in Alpharetta, GA. The position is full-time, and onsite 5 days a week. You’ll join an awesome team to support our growing customer base.

About the Role

As an Account Executive on Aptean’s Payments team, you will drive growth by selling our embedded payment solutions to our established client base, with a particular focus on public sector and government clients. You will prospect and cultivate relationships within local government agencies, identifying opportunities to streamline their payment processing through Aptean’s advanced solutions. Your responsibilities will include executing effective sales strategies, conducting discovery calls to understand client needs, analyzing merchant statements, developing pricing strategies, and leading engaging product demonstrations that highlight our unique value propositions. You will collaborate across departments to source new solutions and ensure customer satisfaction throughout the sales cycle and beyond, working closely with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver exceptional results.

About You

You are a dynamic, results-oriented sales professional with a passion for technology and payments innovation. You have a proven track record in technical or software field sales, ideally with experience selling payment processing solutions—especially into the government sector or within an existing SaaS client base. Your strong communication and negotiation skills enable you to build trust and rapport with stakeholders at all levels. You are adept at analyzing merchant statements and presenting comparative analyses, and you thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments where you juggle multiple priorities and drive superior results. You are a strategic thinker with creative problem-solving skills and a solution-oriented mindset.

To be ahead of the pack, you might have:

  • 2-5 years’ experience in technical or software field sales and integration efforts.
  • Experience selling payment solutions to government agencies or public sector clients.
  • Experience selling embedded payment solutions into an existing SaaS client base.
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently meet or exceed sales quotas.
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to review merchant statements and develop pricing strategies.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
