If you are looking for a fast-paced, challenging career with a family-oriented company, Williams Form Engineering is looking for dedicated and driven candidates to fill a Tesker Machine Operator position within our Comstock Park manufacturing facility.
Primary Responsibilities- Must follow all safety standards and procedures
- Able to learn and perform all related Epicor transaction with-in 30 days
- Operate thread roll machines producing external roll threads in various types and sizes; remove parts at the end of the machine cycle
- Perform basic thread roll machine set-ups as required to complete the manufacturing
- Feed parts into automatic thread roll machines by studying the part, blueprints, specifications and/or instructions
- Adjust machine controls and change tool settings in order to keep dimensions within specific tolerances
- Inspect sample workpieces to verify conformance with specifications using instruments such as gauges, micrometers, and dial indicator
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) to check, test, login, logout, and thread roll good quality parts while coordinating with the floor supervisor
- Notify supervisor of major malfunctions or when machine maintenance is needed
- Recognize basic sequence of operations with assistance from supervisor
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED, or 1-2 years related experience and/or training
- Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills required
- Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers
- Proficient in blueprint interpretation, key process parameters, and SPC data acquisition
- Ability to effectively communicate information to supervisor and/or other employees
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. unassisted required
- Able to stand, walk, bend and twist for at least seven hours per day
- US Citizen or Green Card holder
Working Conditions
Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment, including mechanical noise and fluctuating temperatures. Work involves frequent lifting of materials and product. Machinery operations require the use of safety equipment including safety glasses, hearing protection, work boots, and hardhats. Loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted.
