ResponsibilitiesThis position will be responsible for US payroll processing, assist with more complex payroll transactions (such as stock compensation, executive payroll, international payrolls and expatriate assignment compensation) and be instrumental in driving projects through completion. A successful candidate will have strong technical payroll knowledge, a proven ability to work independently and adhere to strict deadlines within a fast-paced environment, strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities, experience working with technology and business applications, and strong interpersonal skills to interact with all levels of the organization.

- Complete bi-weekly processing for multi-company, multi-state payroll that includes salary, exempt, non-exempt, hourly, union and part-time employees.
- Perform data entry and process a variety of earning, deduction and tax status changes including those related to bonuses, stock compensation, disabilities, imputed income, incentives, relocations and expatriate assignments.
- Oversight of outsourced garnishment vendor, including fielding inquiries from employees regarding payroll deductions.
- Monitor file feeds to/from time and attendance systems, benefit systems and other third-party applications to ensure data integrity.
- Assist Payroll Manager, NNA with tax processes and reconciliations.
- Review components of compensation for accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in payroll results.
- Ensure routine and non-routine transactions are recorded.
- Coordinate efforts with related functions and work effectively to resolve issues.
- Prepare accurate Accounts Payable payment requests.
- Ensure remittances are made to third-parties in a timely manner.
- Balance payroll-related accounts.

Contribute to team results and improve payroll function.
- Participate in team meetings.
- Initiate, test and communicate impact of system changes.
- Maintain and enhance payroll process documentation.
- Solicit and assemble information to produce departmental reports; review and distribute such reports.
- Identify process improvements.

Serve customers of the organization.
- Provide payroll information as requested by employees, managers and business partners.
- Fulfill information requests for internal and external audits.
- Field inquiries about budgeted versus actual personnel expenses.
- Assist with payroll-related accounting adjustments.
- Complete paperwork as needed for internal and external parties.

Finalize annual payroll results and ensure compliance.
- Assist with year-end tasks and issuance of Forms W-2.
- Execute test plans for system changes and updates.
- Perform basic research on payroll or tax compliance issues.

QualificationsExperience required:
- 4+ years of payroll processing experience.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize responsibilities and work in a structured, deadline–driven setting.
- Strong working knowledge of MS Word and Excel; familiarity with web-based applications.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- General understanding of HR and Benefit functions.
- Understanding of the importance of safeguarding confidential employee and company information.
- Ability to think independently and perform tasks with minimal supervision.
- Capacity to make recommendations for resolving issues and enhancing system and function efficiencies.
- Ability to work effectively with others and establish strong relationships with business partners.

Experience preferred:
- Advanced knowledge of MS Word / Excel and technical capabilities.
- Experience with Dayforce Payroll.
- Experience with high level payroll concepts such as stock, expatriate and executive transactions.
