Description:

OVERVIEW:

The Financial Analyst provides key operational support to vital Treasury and Profitability functions. Reporting to the Assistant Treasurer, the analyst will spearhead operation of the Bank's profitability reporting engine as well as assist with treasury management, financial reporting, and strategic projects.


PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform various Treasury functions including but not limited to the following:
  • Preparation of data to be submitted to third party ALM consultant.
  • Construction and maintenance of periodic funding forecasts and liquidity management schedules.
  • Oversee the Bank's daily cash position.
  • Analyze data and produce monthly reports as needed.
  • Construction of monthly profitability reporting and ad hoc analysis using the Bank's financial reporting system.
  • Assist with preparation of materials for Asset/Liability Management Committee and Deposit Pricing Committee.
  • Process incoming and outgoing wire transfer requests as needed.
  • Perform related and unrelated duties as may be required.
Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • Two to four years of treasury, FP&A, or equivalent experience at a bank or other financial institution.
  • Very strong analytical, problem solving, planning and communications skills. Intellectual curiosity is a must.
  • Proven understanding of financial markets and treasury concepts.
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills. Experience with PowerBI and SQL a plus.
  • Open-mindedness, desire to learn and grow, interest in the banking industry.
  • Preferred qualifications: Understanding of Asset Liability Management, experience with ALM software (Empyrean, Bancware, QRM) and FP&A software (Axiom, Anaplan, Hyperion), strong SQL skills.
