We are seeking an enthusiastic Warehousing Specialist who is interested in logistics. You will work in the Warehouse and be trained in receiving, putaway, order picking, cycle counting, and shipping. This position may include flexible hours between 1st and 2nd shifts and also supporting the tasks for physical inventory.

Army: 76V Army Storage Supply man 

Airforce: 21L2 Logistician, 21R2 Logistic Readiness Officer 

Marines: Logistics/Embarkation Specialist 

Coast Guard: Logistics Specialist  

 

Primary Duties:  

 

Receiving / Stocking:

  • Accurately checks inbound product verifying product Part #’s, Quantity and Date Codes.
  • Determines the location of components maintaining a single locater wherever possible.
  • Stocks components in warehouse racks or direct to work-cell thru both purchase / work orders.
  • Load and unload material using forklift and other material handling equipment.
  • Communicate professionally via email and phone with respective product buyers.
  • Ensures safety and cleanliness of their assigned work areas.

Finished Goods Order Selection

  • Accurately fulfills orders using Oracle based handhelds ensuring proper order item and quantity.
  • Packs and ships orders to ensure shipment is safe from damage and defined shipment methods are applied.
  • Assist in finished goods audits, review of work in process and shop order sampling.
  • Providing all required shipment documentations (certs, test data, etc.) are provided with all shipments.
  • Accurately fulfills in-housework orders for Finished Goods production using Oracle based handhelds ensuring proper order item and quantity.
  • Transports materials to other various departments using the proper procedures to maintain safety, inventory accuracy, and quality.
  • Ensures safety and cleanliness of their assigned work areas.


Qualifications



EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE  

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
  • 0 - 3-years of related experience and/or training.
  • Ability to utilize small hand tools for assembly and cleaning.
  • Ability to read, write, communicate, and comprehend simple instructions in English.
  • Ability to perform basic math skills add, subtract, multiply, and division.
  • Certified to operate forklift and other material.
  • Have the ability to explain discrepancies and variations.
  • Have the ability to work with minimal supervision.

 

This is an unpaid internship in accordance with DOD Skillbridge regulations. This opportunity is exclusive to Transitioning Military Service members within the last 180 days of Military Service.
