Overview

What We’re Looking For
CyberPoint is seeking a highly skilled Principal Product Manager to lead the planning, development and delivery of innovative software solutions for mission-critical DoD programs. The ideal candidate combines a strong technical background in software development with proven leadership in managing complex projects, aligning customer needs with actionable development roadmaps and ensuring high-quality, secure software solutions.

This position is 100% onsite in Maryland and requires an active TS/SCI+CI Security Clearance.

Salary Range: $120,000 - $220,000 depending on experience and qualifications

What You'll Do

  • Develop test plans and procedures based on system requirements and descriptions
  • Lead product strategy, roadmap development and execution for advanced software solutions supporting DoD missions.
  • Collaborate with engineering, program management and customer stakeholders to define requirements, set priorities and deliver mission capabilities on schedule.
  • Develop detailed work plans and milestones to ensure successful delivery aligned with customer goals.
  • Oversee software development activities ensuring adherence to secure software development life cycle (SSDLC) best practices, standards and compliance requirements.
  • Leverage CI/CD concepts and tools to enhance software delivery efficiency and reliability.
  • Provide thought leadership and guidance for small to medium enterprise solutions beyond traditional development roles to optimize performance and scalability.
  • Manage risk, resolve conflicts and ensure product solutions meet mission needs and technical expectations.

Qualifications

What You’ll Need

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Active TS/SCI+CI Clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical or related field with 12+ years of experience in software development or software development management (or Master's degree with 10+ years of relevant experience)
  • 8+ years of experience in software development or leading software development teams
  • Experience supporting DoD programs, including familiarity with acquisition process and mission requirements
  • Proven ability to create and manage actionable project plans, schedules and deliverables
  • Strong knowledge of secure software development life cycle practices and implementation
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, tools and methodologies
