The Organizations & Entrepreneurship Area at the School of Business invites applications from interested professionals for a part-time faculty position to teach Organizational Behavior, Communicating Strategically. We are seeking an individual with a relevant degree in Business Administration or Communication from an AACSB-accredited institution, and proven experience in working with AI tools and teaching communication & writing. Prior undergraduate/graduate teaching experience is preferred but not required. Appointments are made on a term-by-term basis.
The goals of the class are outlined below:
Foundational Business Communication Skills
1. Professional Writing & Reporting
a. Master the structure and content of effective business reports, proposals, and executive summaries.
b. Utilize data visualization and storytelling techniques to support decision-making.
2. Presentation & Verbal Communication
a. Craft and deliver compelling presentations with a clear structure, engaging content, and professional delivery.
b. Use storytelling techniques to communicate complex business ideas persuasively.
c. Design and leverage effective slide decks and visual aids to support business presentations.
3. Effective Pitching & Persuasion
a. Develop and deliver persuasive business pitches tailored to various stakeholders.
b. Apply real-world applications, such as investor pitches, client proposals, and executive briefings.

4. Audience-Centered Messaging
a. Analyze stakeholders and tailor messaging for different audiences (e.g., executives, investors, teams).
b. Apply principles of persuasion, credibility, and influence in written and spoken communication.
5. Leveraging AI & Digital Tools
a. Explore AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Grammarly, PowerPoint Copilot) to enhance writing and presentations.
b. Critically assess and refine AI-generated content for accuracy and strategic alignment.
c. Understand ethical considerations and best practices when integrating AI into business communications.
