Job Description:

Purpose: Provide inside support, project management and sales development for the Room Acoustics and Home Markets and the outside sales force.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform takeoffs, as required, from sketches, blueprints, & for the purpose of generating estimates.
  • Produce orders for submission to production. Coordinate with engineering, customer service, purchasing, and manufacturing as required.
  • Work with the sales team and marketing on development of interiors products, sales literature, and website development.
  • Actively participate and develop new accounts, generate sales quotes, and handle customer inquiries to help service customers and grow business
  • Provide superior customer service by delivering products and services to meet or exceed customer expectations
  • Build strong customer relationships, loyalty, and retention
  • Actively engage Kinetics Noise Control team and resources regularly to provide a complete customer solution in order to capitalize on opportunities
  • Work effectively with others in a team-based environment to accomplish organizational goals and to identify and resolve problems
  • Follow up on leads, opportunities and quotes
  • Close deals with the team, turn quotes into orders, value and conversion selling
  • Support targeted marketing actions, campaigns and external events
  • Prepare customer quotes and process orders

Received:

Generally, works independently within accepted guidelines and project assignments. Receives occasional specific supervision.

Given:

No direct supervisory responsibilities. May assist in training new or transferred employees.

Education/Experience:

A college degree in a related field and/or 3-5 years of related job experience may be required. Experience with computers and the ability to use Microsoft Office products is necessary. Familiarity with Auto Cad and basic construction practices including interpreting engineered drawings and documents is preferred.

Communication Skills/Requirements:

Able to communicate verbally and/or in writing as to work requirements, work in progress, and discrepancy issues. Interacts verbally and in writing with other employees, members of management, customers, and others as necessary. Telephone and personal contact is necessary. Must demonstrate tact, diplomacy, professionalism, and positive demeanor in performance of duties.

Reasoning Abilities:

Able to follow instructions and/or directions requiring normal to extended periods of concentration. Requires ability to follow a course/sequence of action within specified procedures and to logically think through error issues to resolve or contact appropriate source. Must maintain normal mental alertness to accurate completion of essential job responsibilities. Must be able to organize work to ensure attention to detail and follow through.

Travel:

Minimal domestic and international travel via automobile or airplane, as needed. Travel expected up to 2% of the total work time. Overnight travel, as needed.

Licenses/Certifications/Credit Cards:

Valid driver’s license with good driving record and current full-coverage automobile insurance; must have the ability or resources to obtain a personal credit card for business purposes, as needed. Passport will be required for international travel, as needed.

Physical Demands:

Routine physical demands for office environment. Operates personal computer, copier, facsimile machine, printer, calculator, telephone. Some prolonged periods of sitting may be required. Occasional lifting of boxes (up to 25 pounds) may be required as needed.

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routine uses standard office equipment. Exposed to minimal hazards.

Additional Information:

Work Location: Corporate facility Dublin, OH. Working Hours: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. or more if required to meet deadlines. Must be reliable. Generally responsible for the safety of own work area. A hybrid work location schedule may be allowed based on established guidelines.
