Position summary:

Our growing company is seeking to hire a Project Manager who will oversee program delivery/deployment in organizing our ongoing programs. This task involves monitoring program plans, schedules, work hours, budgets, and expenditures, organizing and participating in stakeholder meetings, and ensuring that program deadlines are met in a timely manner. Project Manager will plan, execute, and finalize programs including closing out according to timelines, scope, and budget management. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors to deliver programs according to plan. The Project Manager will work with business partners to assist in defining the program’s objectives and oversee delivery and quality control throughout its life cycle. 

 Responsibilities:

  • Present the architecture and technical approach of our solutions and future directions to internal and external customers 
  • Work closely with project sponsors, cross-functional teams, and customer project managers to develop the scope, deliverables, required resources, work plan, budget, and timing for new initiatives.
  • Identify key requirements for cross-functional teams and external vendors.
  • Work with other program managers to identify risks and opportunities across multiple projects within the department.
  • Analyze, evaluate, and overcome program risks, and produce program reports for managers and stakeholders.
  • Tracking progress against project milestones and holding others accountable for assigned tasks.
  • Scheduling internal and external program meetings while also tracking and following up with action items.
  • Identifying any barriers to successful program execution and escalating as appropriate
  • Building partnerships with various industry stakeholders and leaders
  • Managing contracts and agreements with clients to ensure all requirements are fulfilled
  • Manage medium to large scale programs.
  • Manage multiple program assignments in parallel to ensure timely delivery.
  • Manage both Telecom and IT Infrastructure programs of varying degrees of complexity and size.
  • Execute program management policies, guidelines and program parameters.
  • Determine, establish, track and manage program schedule timing and resource allocation to ensure targets are reached.
  • Coordinate prioritization of programs to ensure consistency with corporate strategies.
  • Report and monitor program budgets and statuses.
  • Problem resolution and escalation management
  • Conduct program status meetings.
  • Perform root cause analysis, issues management and conflict resolution.
  • Maintain regular communications among organization leaders.
  • Identify and manage program dependencies and critical path.
  • Develop and manage Program Charters, Project Plans, Schedules, and Risk Management Plan.
  • Manage overall program budgets.
  • Oversee integration and alignment of resources (internal & external) schedules.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience working in Program Management and experience managing programs and projects as a Delivery/Deployment Program Manager directly overseeing customer programs.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience working in R&D managing product deliverables (SW and HW).
  • Networking & telecommunications; Hardware, Operating systems & Applications.
  • Ability to work in a controlled PMO structure with defined processes. 
  • Information and systems security; Business risk & continuity planning.
  • PMP or CAPM preferred (a certificate in PM will be considered for those with excellent track records)
  • Experience in customer-facing role and excellent presentation and listening skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and client relationship skills interacting with a wide range of IT and management professionals, including executives.
  • Proficient communication at all levels within an organization.
  • Extremely organized and capable of tracking, managing and resolving issues in multiple activities.
  • Ability to proactively identify and implement risk mitigation and issue resolution strategies to ensure program success.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, problem solving and process thinking skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, coordination and organizational skills.
  • Excellent presentation and listening skills.
  • General knowledge of data center technologies, Telecom and IP networks
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Suite including MS Project, JIRA and Smartsheet.
  • High degree of tenacity and persistence to get tasks completed on schedule.
  • Ability to deal with change and learn new technology and processes. Determine priorities, make decisions, and implement management systems.
  • The ability to work with different groups (internal and external) to build consensus. 

Qualifications:

  • Diploma in technology or equivalent or a bachelor's degree in a related field of study
