Job Description

The Logistics Attendant is responsible for Material Movements, Receiving, and Warehouse function/ Management. The Logistics Attendant is an essential function to the INFICON Customer experience, in providing supply to internal departments. This position will be responsible for interdepartmental communication and the ability to aid outside operations. Attendant purpose is to evaluate, receive, stock, and successfully complete material movements to the point of consumption or sale.

Essential Job Duties

  • Receipt of incoming material to the point of stock
  • Verify and inspect contents to Purchase order and Packing Slip
  • Set up of storage locations and rotation of inventory in warehouse
  • Navigate narrow isles with the use of motorized equipment (Forklift, Lift truck, Pallet Jack)
  • Stocking of materials in high bay and VLM. Consolidating, rotating, and securing inventory for maximized storage efficiency
  • Accurately pick materials for Production, Kanban, and Internal Orders (Inventory Request)
  • Follow packaging guidelines to ensure the safety and security of shipping product
  • Internal consumption of packaging materials
  • Operation of packaging equipment such as shrink wrapper, bander, and forklifts.
  • Organize, build, and secure consolidated deliveries.
  • Process deliveries including but not limited to such as international, domestic, dangerous goods and freight.
  • Collaborate with Order Management and Finance to meet customer satisfaction.

Basic Job Skills

  • Basic SAP or related ERP System experience, independence, organization, communication, time management, basic computer skills
  • Freight Forwarders, FedEx, DHL and UPS knowledge, attention to detail
  • Able to work in high paced fast moving environment effectively


Qualifications

      Education and/or Experience 

       High School Diploma or GED and 0-2 years relevant experience 

      Certifications/License

      Capable of becoming Forklift Certification

      Physical Requirements

      • Require constant (5-8 hours/day) lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds on a daily basis.
      • Requires frequent (2-5 hours/day) pushing up to 50 pounds, sustained visual concentration on small areas and repetitive hand motions on a daily basis
      • Requires occasional (up to 2 hours/day) bending, crawling, crouching, climbing, sitting, kneeling, reaching on a daily basis
      • Frequently sustained visual concentration on small areas (e.g. monitors, screens, spreadsheets, legal documents, etc.)


      Additional Information

      For New York, the expected salary range for this position is between $38,480 and $45,760 per year. In addition, INFICON employees are eligible for a profit sharing bonus with a target of 10%.  The actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law
