SSOE Faculty Affairs Coordinator
Supports Faculty Affairs Associate Dean in the Swanson School of Engineering. Assists with faculty appointments and promotions processing as well as review of faculty action requests and faculty promotion dossiers. Documents, tracks and manages Faculty honors and awards, which include the process for appointments of distinguished professors and endowed professorships, including composition of nomination letters. Provides reports to executive leadership. Interacts extensively with executive leadership and serves as a knowledgeable Faculty Affairs policy source.
Supports Faculty Records functions by assisting with faculty appointments and promotions processing as well as reviewal of faculty action requests and faculty promotion dossiers. Provides reports to executive leadership. Interacts extensively with executive leadership and serves as a knowledgeable Faculty Affairs policy source.
Assists with faculty appointments and promotions processing for tenure, nontenure, and affiliated actions. Coordinates faculty Professorships and Fellowships nomination and award process. Prepares detailed faculty reports for the Faculty Affairs Associate Dean, disseminates information among academic unit, administrative offices, faculty, external agencies, and other institutions. Benchmarks and collects faculty data and identifies trends within the data. Reviews and interprets all faculty action requests and faculty promotion dossiers for completeness, accuracy, and adherence to the University bylaws, policies and Faculty Union CBA. Tracks faculty actions to ensure that all activity is documented and completed within the assigned timeframe. Maintains faculty database and provides analyses of faculty demographics to Vice Provost.
Interacts with SSoE Dean, department chairs, the Office of the Chancellor, and other high-level constituents. Serves as a knowledgeable source on policies and procedures related to faculty affairs. Works closely with the Executive Administrator to the Dean, Director of Strategic Business and Financial Operations and the Faculty Affairs Associate Dean notifying them of requests that need special consideration and provides recommendations or guidance for such actions.
