Physical Requirements
The physical requirements for this position include regularly sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods of time with repetitive motion (such as typing); walking including pushing, pulling, and/or lifting up to 10lbs and occasional pushing, pulling, and/or lifting objects up to 50lbs. The conditions of work may involve regular exposure to loud noises, intermittent exposure to blood borne/airborne pathogens and combative/violent people, and occasional exposure to cuts and punctures.

Job Summary
The Preop Anesthesia Clinic is seeking a Patient Relations Assistant to be responsible for scheduling appointments in a high volume clinic area. Duties will include but not limited to: respectfully acknowledging and greeting patients, some patient registration, insurance verification and pre-certifications as needed. Additionally, this position will be responsible for coordinating arrival times with patients and scheduling appointments. Will establish coordination of benefits, collect insurance co-pays and fees for services not covered by insurance, schedule return appointments according to scheduling protocol and ensure timely and appropriate follow-up with patients on all appointment requests. Must be able to work in fast paced office and maintain medical confidentiality.

3.5 years of experience required. Outpatient clinic experience preferred.
