REI is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented dayshift Machine Operator-IMS Process Mix to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the operation of high-speed processing machines and chemical-processing equipment to produce thermal media products. You will be responsible for starting, stopping, and tending production machines while adhering to manufacturing practices and standard operating procedures. Additionally, you will perform basic machine set up, load and unload materials, report abnormalities, and conduct routine product changeovers. As a key player in our manufacturing process, you will collaborate with supervisors to ensure quality control and effectively communicate any equipment malfunctions or accidents. This role provides growth opportunities within our dynamic organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Start, stop, and tend high-speed production processing and chemical-processing equipment.
  • Weigh, measure, check and combine raw materials following specified formulas and methods. Maintain inventory records on raw materials used in batch processing.
  • Adjust product mix in response to quality test results. Calculate and add material amounts to correct formulation, referring more complex issues to supervisor or engineering for resolution.
  • Perform product change over activities, including breaking down and cleaning equipment. Test machine operation, collaborate with quality control to test output and make equipment adjustments to produce product that meets quality requirements.
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures while performing your duties.

Required

High School or better.

Experience

Required

At least 3 years experience operating chemical-processing or high-speed processing equipment.
Basic math skills including decimals and fractions.
Must be able to read and understand English.
Ability to solve routine product and equipment problems.
Must be able to work a rotating 12-hour shift which includes some weekends and holidays.
