Overview

What We’re Looking For
CyberPoint is seeking a Principal Cloud Engineer with a proven track record designing, building and managing secure cloud environments for high-impact missions. We're looking for someone who thrives in a complex, fast-paced environments, has deep expertise in AWS, Azure and modern data platforms. The Principal Cloud Engineer will architect and deliver scalable, mission-ready solutions for our USCYBERCOM and Intelligence Community partners. This position is 100% onsite in Hanover MD and requires an active TS/SCI+FSP Security Clearance.

Salary Range: $150,000 - $250,000 depending on experience and qualifications

What You'll Do

  • Lead the architecture, development and implementation of cloud-based solutions supporting mission-critical DoD and IC operations.
  • Work directly with stakeholders to understand requirements, design scalable cloud environments and integrate advanced data storage and management systems.
  • Apply expertise with AWS, Azure, ELK and other cloud technologies to deliver secure, reliable and high-performing solutions.
  • Leverage Atlassian suite tools (JIRA, Confluence, etc.) to plan, track and document engineering activities.
  • Use business intelligence tools such as Tableau or Power BI to design dashboards and visualizations that transform data into actionable insights.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to engineering teams, guiding best practices for cloud security, resilience and mission-readiness.

Qualifications

What You’ll Need

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Active TS/SCI clearance (polygraph may be required)
  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline with 18+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience supporting USCYBERCOM or Intelligence Community partners in operational or technical cloud initiatives
  • Strong technical knowledge of AWS Cloud, Azure, ELK and other enterprise data platforms
  • Familiarity with the Atlassian tool suite (JIRA, Confluence, etc.) for engineering management and collaboration
  • Experience building business intelligence solutions with tools such as Tableau, Power BI or similar
