Overview

The candidate will work in a research capacity under the supervision of Dr. Anita Minh and Dr. Sarah Andrea to support research projects on precarious employment, health, and well-being across the life course. Primary responsibilities include assistance with literature review and evidence synthesis, manuscript writing, some descriptive and regression analyses of population health data, and grant preparation.



Responsibilities

  • Enrolled in or on vacation from or is otherwise registered in Graduate Program (minimum 4.5 credit hours)

  • Prior work experience conducting literature reviews and knowledge syntheses, or relevant coursework.

  • Experience conducting descriptive and multivariable quantitative analysis using statistical software (e.g., Stata, R, or SAS) for coursework or research projects.

  • Familiarity with health inequities and the social determinants of health.

  • Familiarity with research design in social epidemiology, employment, aging, or mental health 

  • Demonstrated capacity for scientific writing.

  • Ability to demonstrate effective time management

     



Qualifications



  • Experience with preparing grants for submission to National Institutes of Health. 

  • Prior experience working with large-scale survey datasets (e.g., FFCWS, NHANES, HRS)
