Assistant Director - Pre Award
The position will be responsible for oversight of pre award administrators and their work. They will be responsible for their own grant submissions as well. They will be expected to triage faculty or division concerns, liaise with other internal offices such as the Dean’s office, OSP, and SPA. The Assistant Director will support the DOMRA team through oversight of grant submissions, RPPRs, and all other functions of pre award research administration. They will be responsible for their own portfolio of submissions and RPPRS. They will be expected to contribute to process improvements, continuing education, and training as an individual and for the team.
Oversees pre-award administration and financials for sponsored research projects. Manages accounts and budgets, ensuring compliance. Acts as liaison between internal and external stakeholders and funding agencies.
Essential functions include ability to sit at a desk for periods of time, to handle things such as telephone, computer, calculator, ability to communicate via phone, email and virtual platforms, ability to attend meetings in person or virtually. High level of writing and reading skills.
This is a fairly sedentary position but may require walking to other locations on campus.
