• Lead a survey crew in the field for boundary, topographic, and construction layout surveys

• Set up and run survey equipment to collect accurate data

• Read and understand construction plans and survey specs

• Work directly with project managers, engineers, and other team members

• Solve problems and keep the job moving 

• Keep clear and accurate field notes and reports

• Take care of the survey truck and equipment

• Follow all safety rules

• Other duties as needed

• Experience in land surveying (crew chief experience is a plus)

• Valid driver’s license

• Experience using survey equipment (robotic total stations, GPS/GNSS, laser scanners, levels, tablet PCs, etc.). Trimble experience is a plus

• Basic computer and math skills

• Good communication skills

• Strong work ethic and ability to work as part of a team

• Able to work outdoors in all weather and lift up to 80 lbs

• Willing to travel and stay out of town when needed
