In this Ocean Freight Pricing Specialist position

Support to develop and administer plans and processes as part of the OFR operations, pricing & RFQ/tender management strategy to support the commercial strategy in line with business objectives, corporate guidelines and policies.

• Support the execution of plans and processes to implement the OFR pricing strategy
• Assist in responding to pricing enquiries in an efficient and competitive manner
• Execute tasks and activities while ensuring effective resource management and optimizing productivity for the day-to-day operations
• Support the timely monitoring and accurate updating of local tariffs
• Prepare and submit relevant documents for tenders
• Develop and maintain databases with specific information to enable quick responses to specific network queries
• Build and secure business relationships with customers and carriers
• Prepare carrier performance reports and reviews
• Identify opportunities to enhance services and processes to secure cost-effective and competitive prices and negotiate competitive rates with carriers while meeting desired service specifications and transit time targets
• Understand recent developments of new solutions, services, lane and traffic development
• May provide functional guidance, advice or training to less experienced positions
• Identify and resolve recurring issues, and suggest modifications to OFR pricing methods focusing on increasing effectiveness and efficiency
• May influence others within the job area through explanation of facts, policies and practices
• Support and interact primarily with colleagues of own function
• Build relationships and understand customer and key stakeholders interests and concerns
• Address task-related issues appropriately to maintain work relationships
• Build relationship with the regional trade management team and work closely to negotiate special pricing and align with our regional pricing strategy.
• Support and handle VIP accounts in terms of Operations and Pricing.
• Help maintain our operational IKOs and KPIs within the acceptable target levels.
• Ensure the constant monitoring of the Hit Ratio report and work closely with the Head of Ocean to increase the hit ratio on the problematic trade lanes.

Now, here is what we need from you!

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience/qualification
• Min experience more than 4 years
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, negotiation skills,
• Excellent organizational skills, capacity to quickly identify and resolve any issues ,
• Attention to details and technical proficiency, teamwork and adaptability
• Significant experience in logistics procurement at local scale
• Ability to act and contribute to a team environment
