Overview

Lutron Electronics is seeking a dynamic Information Technology Leader – Web to join our team at our Global Headquarters in Coopersburg, PA. In this strategic role, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of our digital platforms, helping to maintain Lutron’s position as a global leader in smart lighting and shading systems.

 

As a valued member of our IT organization, you will lead the Web Team in supporting and enhancing critical platforms that drive our digital presence and customer engagement. You will manage complex technical projects, collaborate across departments, and may lead a team of direct reports.

 

You will work closely with other IT functions—including infrastructure, cybersecurity, and digital workplace—to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performing solutions. Your leadership will guide cross-functional teams in the conceptualization, design, and implementation of innovative technologies that support business operations and strategic goals.

 

There are a variety of technologies and concepts within this role that you could encounter from day one, such as: 

  • Full-stack Web development with PHP, ReactJS, Drupal CMS, and Red Hat Linux
  • SQL and NoSQL databases, ETL-style transactions, and Cloud products like Azure Data Factory
  • Cloud infrastructure and services on MS Azure, Acquia Cloud Platform, Imperva CDN, and a number of other providers
  • Agile development methods, project management, and tools
  • Software quality and performance management
  • Platform integrations using APIs, web services, and enterprise integration tools
  • Authorization and authentication controls, including Single Sign-on, API keys, and Role-based Access Control
  • Integrating Web platforms with other Lutron enterprise systems


Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day Web operations, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and user experience across all supported platforms.
  • Lead cross-functional project teams to drive platform convergence, execute implementations, and proactively resolve technical and organizational challenges.
  • Design and architect technical solutions that meet enterprise IT needs, collaborating with peers across IT and business units.
  • Engage with internal stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle—from gathering business requirements to deployment and post-launch support.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects, maintaining high standards of quality, timeliness, and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Develop deep expertise across multiple IT technologies, and serve as a mentor by training team members on new tools, platforms, and best practices.
  • Establish and refine IT processes, implementing measurable improvements that enhance team efficiency and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Lead incident response efforts, including mitigation, root cause analysis, documentation, and implementation of corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Be a hands-on, collaborative leader, demonstrating a strong work ethic and excellent communication skills in interactions with peers, stakeholders, and executive leadership.


Qualifications



  • Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Software Development, Information Science, Mathematics, or related degree required
  • Minimum, cumulative GPA of 3.00 required for each degree earned
  • Minimum 10 years experience building and deploying Web applications with a hosting provider like Acquia or a Cloud provider like AWS or Microsoft Azure required
  • Expertise with ReactJS, PHP-based Web content platforms (Drupal, Wordpress) required; Experience working with REST APIs, enterprise integration platforms and databases preferred
  • Technical or development certifications from Acquia or Microsoft preferred
  • Experience with CI/CD tools from Atlassian, Jenkins/Cloudbees a plus
