Job Summary/Basic Function:

The Assistant Registrar assists with all registrar operations and services. Specific responsibilities include providing direct service to students, faculty, and others as well as managing student records and other academic information utilizing student and academic systems.

Specific Responsibilities include:

  • Maintains student records in Ellucian’s Banner Student Information System, including course registration and enrollment status updates.

  • Interprets and applies academic policies and procedures. Provides accurate policy-related information and assistance to students and faculty.

  • Assists with the management of DegreeWorks degree audit system and monitors students’ progress toward degree completion.

  • Coordinates a variety of projects, including the distribution and collection of course schedule related materials and information with faculty, staff, and students.

  • Manages college catalog content.

  • Sets up course sections in Banner and maintenance of related documents.

  • Manages classroom assignments.



Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and two to three years of experience in higher education office setting or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

  • Knowledge of student information systems
  • Willingness to work as part of a team in a collaborative environment
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree
  • Previous experience in a Registrar’s Office
  • Experience with Ellucian Banner

All salary offers must have the prior approval of the Office of Human Resources.

The anticipated hiring or recruitment range for this position is low 50’s.

The salary for this position will be commensurate with the qualifications, education and experience.
