Overview
The Director, Enterprise Network Services is responsible for full ownership of ITT’s global enterprise networking, voice, and video platforms. This individual leads a high-performing, globally distributed team of network architects, engineers, and administrators to ensure reliable, scalable, secure, and cost-effective network operations and modernization initiatives. The role includes 24/7 operational accountability and strategic oversight across LAN, WAN, WLAN, firewall, NAC, voice/telephony, cloud connectivity, segmentation, and observability platforms.
This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong technical acumen, operational discipline, strategic foresight, and exceptional people leadership. The Director will oversee all planning, execution, and delivery of network projects and services, including network transformation efforts, cloud and data center initiatives, compliance readiness, M&A integration, and lifecycle refresh programs. This role is integral to ITT’s broader infrastructure strategy and plays a vital role in enabling business growth, operational resilience, and cyber risk mitigation.

ResponsibilitiesStrategic Planning & Execution
- Own and maintain the enterprise network, voice, and video strategy and roadmap in alignment with ITT’s business and technology goals.
- Drive continuous modernization initiatives, which may include segmentation, SD-WAN, SASE, NAC, observability, and cloud integration efforts.
- Guide and prioritize network-related investments to ensure scalability, performance, and cost-efficiency.
- Partner with security, application, and business stakeholders to ensure seamless alignment between infrastructure, cyber risk management, and business requirements.
- Lead regular periodic sessions with IT Infrastructure leaders from each of our three Value Centers to assess and prioritize efforts, both active and upcoming.
- Curate and maintain an active and up-to-date project portfolio.
Operations & Reliability
- Lead 24x7 operations for all network services, ensuring reliability, uptime, and service excellence across global regions.
- Oversee incident, change, and problem management processes, driving root cause analysis and continuous service improvement.
- Ensure consistent execution of patching, vulnerability management, configuration management, inventory/CMDB accuracy, and lifecycle refresh programs.
- Own observability and monitoring strategies for proactive issue identification and resolution.
Project Delivery
- Provide leadership for all networking, voice, and video project execution, including lifecycle refreshes, data center migrations, M&A integrations, and compliance initiatives.
- Ensure project delivery adheres to timelines, budgets, and scope, with measurable business outcomes.
- Collaborate with PMO, infrastructure, and application teams to coordinate dependencies, resources, and sequencing.
- Lead his/her team (individual contributor and operations manager) to develop and execute to well defined and measure project schedules.
- Maintain an up-to-date understanding of project status, blockers, needs, dependencies and navigate ambiguity effectively.
People Leadership

Vendor & Financial Management
- Manage third-party partners, vendors, and service providers to ensure delivery, cost optimization, and innovation.
- Own contracts, licensing, and support agreements for all network technologies.
- Collaborate with procurement and finance on forecasting, budgeting, and cost management strategies.
Cross-functional Communication
- Act as the principal point of contact for enterprise network-related matters with business stakeholders, security teams, and IT leadership.
- Provide regular status updates, performance metrics, and strategic insights to executive and operational stakeholders.
- Translate technical complexities into business-relevant language to drive informed decision-making at all levels.
QualificationsMinimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; or associate degree with 8 years of well-rounded, relevant experience Further education via an M.B.A. is considered a plus.
- Proven experience as a Global Network Manager or Director within IT infrastructure and operations, leading globally distributed teams.
- Proven track record of leading major infrastructure and network initiatives (e.g., global network upgrades, SD-WAN implementations, cloud connectivity transformations, data center migrations, technology modernization, compliance certifications, and integration efforts related to mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures).
- Demonstrated experience building and executing multi-year strategic roadmaps across network, voice, and network security domains.
- Strong technical expertise across enterprise network domains including LAN/WAN/WLAN, SD-WAN, VPN, firewall management, segmentation, NAC, DNS/DHCP, SASE, and cloud networking (especially Azure).
- Hands-on experience with Cisco, Meraki, Palo Alto, Microsoft Teams Telephony, CUCM, SolarWinds, and other relevant network and collaboration technologies.
- Experience designing, building, operating and maintaining Azure network services in conjunction / extension to company on-premises network services.
- Experience, ability and desire to in lead efforts to assess the available options in the market for hardware / software product selections with a goal toward optimizing investments to meet business needs; investing heavily in value-add differentiating technologies (WAF, Firewalls, high availability) while optimizing costs of commodity services (access/distribution switching, etc.) – ensuring interoperability and scalability throughout.
- Experience managing project budgets, forecasts, and financial models, including cost optimization and Telecom Expense Management (TEM).
- Demonstrated success in supplier/vendor relationship management including SOW negotiation, contract execution, and license/support lifecycle oversight.
- Familiarity with Operational Technology (OT) networking and segmentation in manufacturing environments is a plus.
- Experience leading compliance efforts for network-related areas (e.g., CMMC, NIST).
- Available for escalations and critical events, including after-hours coverage.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain high team morale and foster collaboration across distributed and cross-functional teams.
