We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Senior Financial Analyst to join our Financial Operations team. This role is critical to driving financial insights, improving operational efficiency, and supporting scalable business processes across accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and treasury functions. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical acumen, data skills, and process improvement with operational understanding and cross-functional communication skills. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance efficiency, reduce manual effort, and support the company’s mission to improve both customer experience and operational excellence.

The pay range for this position In Western Washington varies between $81,900 - $116,550, and for Eastern Washington varies between $71,411 - $101,623. Washington Dental Service and its affiliates, including Arcora Foundation, Delta Dental of Washington, and TriForza Corp. intends to offer the selected candidate a base pay within this range, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience. Base pay will also be adjusted based on the candidate's geographic location.

  • Work with cross-functional teams to build operational capacity for strategic initiatives.
  • Partner with Financial Operations teams (AP, AR, Payroll, and Treasury) to analyze workflows, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement process improvements.
  • Develop and maintain complex financial models to support cash flow forecasting, working capital optimization, and payment cycle management.
  • Track and report key operational metrics (e.g., Days Sales Outstanding, Days Payables Outstanding, Days Cash on Hand, Payment Error Rates) to identify trends and support data-driven decisions.
  • Lead monthly close variance analysis for operational expense and transaction processing activities.
  • Apply SQL, Tableau, and/or Power BI technology to analyze large datasets and identify financial trends, risks, opportunities, and operational efficiency.
  • Assist in the evaluation and implementation of automation tools and systems enhancements within FinOps processes.
  • Provide financial insight and reporting for vendor negotiations, payment terms, and treasury strategies.
  • Support ad-hoc analysis, dashboards, and presentations for senior leadership and cross-functional partners.

Experience, skills, and education do you need to have to succeed in the position: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to successfully perform the essential functions of the position.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field; MBA, CTP or professional certification preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
  • 4–6 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably with exposure to financial operations, or shared services environments.
  • Strong understanding of Procure-to-Pay and Order-to-Cash processes.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel (financial modeling, pivot tables, etc.); experience with ERP systems (e.g. Acumatica, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle), BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and SQL (Snowflake) preferred.
  • Flexibility and ability to deal with ambiguity.
  • Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills in conveying complex financial information to non-financial partners.
