Position Summary
The HR Service Center Assistant provides direct support to our employee population across a wide range of Human Resources functions, including benefits enrollment and support, payroll inquiries, and general HR assistance. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a top-performing, fast-growing HR team while gaining exposure to nearly all facets of HR within a high-performing organization.
Key Responsibilities
The HR Service Center Assistant acts as a key resource for employees, educating and assisting them on various HR-related matters. Responsibilities include:
Respond to employee calls and email inquiries with accurate and timely responses
Escalate complex or unresolved issues to appropriate teams
De-escalate challenging situations with professionalism, patience, and empathy
Assist employees with system access and basic troubleshooting
Address payroll-related questions and provide necessary updates
Guide employees through benefit options and assist with enrollment (medical, dental, vision) accurately and efficiently
Partner with benefits administrators and insurance providers to resolve issues
Educate employees about Leave of Absence options, assist with the application process, and communicate status updates to employees and relevant stakeholders
Collaborate with shared services and HR teams to identify effective solutions
Provide ongoing support to employees and HR teams
Assist with I-9 verifications and supporting other compliance requirements
Travel requirement: 5-10%
Qualifications
Skills and Abilities
Bilingual (Spanish) Required
Strong client-service mindset and collaborative approach

Understanding of general company operations
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

Education and Experience
Minimum 2 years of experience in the field of customer service, benefits, or human resources
Experience working with HR employee data preferred
High School Diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education a plus
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams)
Strong time management and organizational skills
Resourceful and proactive in addressing employee requests
Comfortable engaging with a diverse workforce through phone and email communication
Preferred but not required: Working knowledge of HR compliance including Employment Eligibility Verification, ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, and HIPAA
