General Summary:

To ensure product is received and logged in a timely fashion. Responsibly for accuracy of quality documents received. The operator must function as a productive, contributing and responsible member of his/her work team.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Follows all company and work center specific production, administration and safety policies and procedures. Attends and actively participates in all required training.
  • Maintains high level of transactional accuracy. Troubleshoots transactional errors and ensures they are corrected.
  • Ensures that all processes are being done correctly and per work instructions where available.
  • Ensures material counts are accurate prior to acceptance into department.
  • Verify count and proper identification of parts with the work order. Supports the team to achieve greater efficiency and productivity to meet the company’s operational and financial goals through the use of Lean principles and techniques. Ensures that all products are available to ship on time.
  • Issue finished materials to production or to vendors
  • Use forklift to unload materials. Ensure BOL is signed.
  • Makes sure cycle counts are done on time and accuracy is at acceptable levels, corrects it if it is not.

Other Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Practice safe procedures at all times when using material handling equipment.
  • Performs general housekeeping, facility clean-up and maintenance
  • Attends stand-up meeting
  • All duties as assigned by the Production Manager and or other members of the management team.

    Qualifications:

  • Detail oriented and must have the ability to read and understand work orders, purchase orders, certifications
  • Must be able to obtain a LMI forklift certification.
  • Demonstrated decision-making ability utilizing good judgment in determining the appropriate guideline, procedure, and application to utilize in solving problems.
  • Thorough understanding of process flows, lead times and lean principles in a mfg. environment.

    Physical Requirements:

  • Must be skilled in using a forklift and pallet jacks and be able to lift 50 lbs.

    Special Requirements:

  • Flexibility to work additional hours as required.
