The Senior Office Specialist supports the mission and objectives of the Workforce Technical Training department by providing high-level administrative and operational support to the Director, Maintenance Training, Corporate Training, Bus Operations Training, and Instructional Design teams. This role is responsible for a wide range of functions including office management, budgeting, payroll, purchasing, and meeting coordination.
Acting as the first point of contact for client groups, the Senior Office Specialist provides assistance with general training support. The position also contributes to the development and administration of training programs and content. It involves tracking and analyzing training effectiveness, identifying opportunities for improvement, and supporting departmental performance through the monitoring of budgets, key performance indicators (KPIs), and strategic objectives.
This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while proactively managing assignments with minimal supervision.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION/TRAINING:
Associates degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
EXPERIENCE:
Four years in an office environment from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired. Experience with Qualtrics or other survey programs preferred.
Knowledge/Skills:
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Visio.
- Excellent interpersonal and written/oral skills.
- Effective time management and organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Excellent customer service skills.
Abilities:
- Ability to work well with a range of people and maintain confidentiality.
- Able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment, exercising sound judgment and discretion.
