Jr. DevOps Engineer

Core4ce is hiring a Jr. DevSecOps Engineer to deliver containerization engineering, virtualization engineering, cloud engineering, systems engineering, software engineering, system administration, configuration management, cybersecurity, training curriculum development, technical support, test and evaluation, lifecycle logistics, and sustainment for a large DoD program.
Responsibilities
- Engineering new container services
- Understanding customer requirements, needs and pain points and evaluating available, best of class solutions.
Sustain existing container orchestration systems
- Support system architecture design and implementation efforts
- Managing accounts and network rights
- Managing systems resources including performance, capacity, availability, serviceability, and recoverability
Implementing security procedures and tools
- Developing and documenting systems administration standard operating procedures
- Troubleshoot compute infrastructure/software interface and interoperability problems
- Ensuring Kubernetes environment availability, functionality, integrity, and efficiency; maintaining systems configuration
- Managing the installation and integration of system fixes, updates, and enhancements
- Ensuring the rigorous application of information security/information assurance policies, principles, and practices
Requirements
- Active Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain one.
- 5+ years of IT experience in a technical role, with a strong background in system administration, deployment, and management.
- 3+ years of experience in designing and deploying hardened Kubernetes clusters and orchestration platforms, such as Rancher and OpenShift. This includes expertise in installation, testing, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of dev, staging, and production environments.
- 2+ years of experience working with the Windows Operating System in a systems administration or engineering capacity.
- 2+ years of experience with Amazon AWS, including proficiency in EKS, EC2, S3, EBS, Load Balancers, and RDS.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes tools, including GitLab, Harbor, ArgoCD, Red Hat Advanced Cluster Security (Stackrox), Keycloak, and others.
- Experience working in a DoD environment, with a strong understanding of network, access, security, and accreditation policies and requirements.
- Ability to obtain Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) certification within 6 months of hire.
Preferred Experience
- Terraform, Ansible, RKE1, RKE2, EKS
- Familiarity with deploying and managing Windows container environments is a plus
- Experience working in a DevOps or DevSecOps environment with an Agile methodology preferred
