Job Summary

Renovates or builds new items as requested may involve the following: Installs new ceilings, erects walls, installs doors, installs floor tiles or carpeting, builds furniture such as counters, cabinets, shelves, seating and landscape furniture. Uses any equipment or materials required to complete task. Installs bathroom partitions and fixtures. Uses equipment to clean up work area after performing tasks Install electronic door hardware. Maintains or repairs items as requested, may involve the following: assess job to determine appropriate repair procedures; removes or cut away damaged areas of walls, floor tiles, carpeting, or ceilings safely using correct equipment; dispose of debris properly and safely; repairs or replace materials as needed; removes and replaces door locks; produce new keys and issue to approved personnel; repairs damaged furniture; transports items to shop may be required; cleanup work area. Carpenter may have to work in extreme hot or cold conditions.
