Educational Program Coordinator I



Department job description:

Assists in developing and managing all aspects of multiple educational projects being managed by the office of the vice chancellor for health sciences education and executive vice dean of the school of medicine and technological functions of these educational programs and courses. Prepares classroom technology, proofreads exams, and serves as a liaison between faculty and students. Assists with faculty recruiting and budgetary matters. Schedules meetings, supports faculty, prepares minutes, maintains virtual sites and LMS.

Assists in developing and managing all aspects of multiple educational projects.

Assists in managing the technological aspects of educational courses. Helps evaluate new educational opportunities involving technology and their effectiveness.

Communicates with faculty regarding course content. Works closely with faculty to prepare classroom technology for use.

Assists in compiling exam information for faculty, including proofreading exams.

Acts as a liaison between faculty and students. Resolves any problems that arise with course coordinators and instructors.

Participates in school committees and assists with faculty candidate recruiting and evaluation.

Collects and analyzes student data and reports it to program faculty for multiple educational projects.

Assists in managing and tracking budgetary expenditures associated with educational programs.

Organizes leadership meetings in support of educational programs, keeps minutes, schedules rooms and AV, supports virtual team sites.


Job Summary

Essential Functions

Ability to develop and implement educational programs, manage program logistics and evaluate program effectiveness.

Ability to handle administrative tasks, promote programs, and maintain records.


Physical Effort

Little physical effort required. Duties are primarily sedentary. May be required to move objects up to 25 pounds occasionally.
