Job ID: 2025-9072
Type: Full Time W/Benefits Ret Match

Overview

Be a part of our team contributing to our mission in space.
We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented engineering professional to support corrective actions, process verification, and materials and processes (M&P) control across high-visibility aerospace programs. This role is key to sustaining quality improvements and ensuring mission readiness for spaceflight-critical hardware.

You will play a pivotal role in maintaining compliance with NASA and Boeing engineering requirements, while working closely with production, quality, and engineering teams to manage process discipline, prevent recurrence of non-conformances, and drive operational excellence.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide production support in the implementation of materials and processes (M&P) per engineering and NASA requirements, including contamination and corrosion control, coatings, adhesives, spray-on insulation, pour foams, and more.

  • Evaluate engineering non-conformances related to M&P issues and develop technical rationales for rework, repair, scrap, or use-as-is dispositions in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

  • Conduct root cause analyses and support implementation of effective corrective and preventive actions.

  • Perform Sustain the Gains Verification activities to ensure long-term effectiveness of corrective measures.

  • Support certification and maintenance of controlled work areas and temporary environmental zones for contamination-sensitive hardware.

  • Conduct process surveillance—audits, inspections, and observations—to verify compliance and identify opportunities for improvement.

  • Analyze material and process failures and recommend corrective strategies.

  • Generate and manage specifications, test plans, and process documentation to support deployment of M&P standards and quality compliance.

  • Provide guidance and training to personnel on M&P procedures, corrective action protocols, and verification best practices.

  • Collaborate closely with quality and process engineering teams to ensure alignment with contractual, regulatory, and program-specific requirements.

  • Promote standardization across processes and ensure documentation accuracy.

  • Create regular reports detailing corrective action statuses, verification outcomes, and trends.

  • Demonstrate the ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and technical specifications.

  • Adapt to off-shift scheduling needs, including weekend or second-shift support, based on evolving program demands.

What You’ll Deliver

  • Fully documented corrective action plans and verification reports

  • Sustain the Gains and process surveillance findings

  • Root cause analyses and non-conformance dispositions

  • Test plans, specifications, and implementation documentation

  • Training records and continuous improvement materials

  • Audit support documentation and compliance reports

What You’ll Bring

  • Strong background in materials and processes engineering or quality/process engineering

  • Experience with NASA, Boeing, or aerospace/defense standards related to M&P control

  • Demonstrated ability to conduct non-conformance analysis and determine technical disposition paths

  • Knowledge of contamination control, corrosion prevention, adhesives, coatings, and insulation processes

  • Solid understanding of engineering drawings, process specs, and test documentation

  • Proficiency in root cause analysis methodologies and corrective/preventive action planning

  • Experience supporting audits, quality reviews, and document traceability

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills

  • Flexibility to work off-shifts or changing schedules based on production needs

This is more than a support role—this is your opportunity to help shape the quality and reliability of the systems that carry our mission beyond Earth.
Join our team and make your mark on the future of spaceflight.
