Join our team as Part-time Autism Spectrum Disorder Coordinator at Children's Village in Yakima, WA! This position oversees the coordination of the Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Clinic at Children's Village, managing schedules for Medical, Dental, and Behavioral Health providers, and collaborating with community partners. It also involves preparing families for clinic visits and facilitating patient referrals.

This is a part-time, 20 hours per week position that includes a comprehensive benefits package.

Position Highlights:

What You’ll Do:

  • Processes incoming referrals, compiles and mails required forms to patients, and prepares patient resource materials.

  • Schedules appointments for full day ASD Clinics or individual Autism Diagnostic Observation Scales (ADOS) testing appointments.

  • Coordinates with the Developmental Behavioral Dept, Behavioral Health Services (BHS), Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and the Patient Services Care (PSC) teams within Children’s Village to ensure patients are scheduled appropriately.

  • Reviews and explains appointment process and duration to the patient.

  • Request and process records from outside primary care providers, schools, and child care facilities, when needed.

  • Tracks New Patient Information Forms for clinical review by clinicians.

  • Works with clinic support staff to ensure provider availability and to plan and coordinate upcoming ASD clinics.

  • Attend team meetings and trainings, as required.

  • Assists the Front Office team as able and directed.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED).

  • Experience working with multiple agencies/community partners, specialty providers, and care coordination preferred.

  • One year experience working in a healthcare setting preferred

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) required. Must demonstrate the ability to communicate at level 9 on the language proficiency scale to receive bilingual differential pay. Knowledge of medical terminology preferred. Excellent interpersonal skills. Effective listening and verbal communication skills, both in-person and on the telephone. Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
