Job/Position Summary:

Responsible for trimming a product or components of product and finishing the product through priming, lamination, gluing, sanding, trimming, glazing and other processes. May perform all tasks conducted by the team in the assembly process and rotate through all or most of them, rather than bring assigned to a specific task on a permanent basis.   

Primary Responsibilities:  

  • Trims Fiberglass hand lay-up parts. Using air tools and hand tools per blueprint.
  • Help in Finishing Department as needed.
  • Preparing parts for painting. Hand sanding and using air tools, sandblasting.
  • Use plastic body filler when needed to fill voids or scratches in parts.
  • Install Brass inserts.
  • Some assembly work. 

Requirements: 

  • High School Diploma or General Education (GED)required. 
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience. 
  • Knowledge of hand tools/ Air tools and other equipment. 
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. 
  • Willingness to be flexible and apply new programs and technology. 
  • Able to read blueprints (Preferred). 
  • Forklift certification preferred 
  • Some overtime may be required. 9 to 10 hours a day instead of 8 hours.

Post Production Trimmer hours: Monday - Friday 6:00a.m. - 2:30p.m.
