The supplyFORCE Services Business Unit delivers a range of value-added services to our clients. One key offering, the SOURCE Program, supports off-contract procurement by managing tail spend and consolidating vendors under a single trusted partner. We are currently seeking a new member of our team to collaborate with and service our customers to drive value.
 
The Sourcing Specialist plays a critical role in identifying sourcing opportunities, securing reliable product suppliers, and maximizing value through our agreements. This position involves end-to-end order management, price negotiation, and proactive resolution of product or service issues. These efforts will directly contribute to streamlining procurement processes and enhancing client satisfaction.

  • Manage order flow from client through to vendor
  • Ensure client requirements for price and delivery times are met
  • Manage order follow-up/expedites as required
  • Manage and resolve vendor non-conformance issues
  • Negotiate special pricing considerations with suppliers for recurring purchases
  • Maintain compliance with all procedures and work instructions
  • Support Client Service Specialist's metrics and goals
  • Adopt and embrace the supplyFORCE CORE4: Character, Collaboration, Community, and Care 


Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in purchasing, customer service, or a combination of both
  • Broad industrial product knowledge in one or more of the following categories is preferred: Electrical; Industrial; Power Transmission; Hydraulic/Pneumatic; Filtration; PVF – Plumbing; Safety; Janitorial; Material Handling
  • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office Suite products; intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel preferred


Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience


Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
