What You Will Do:

As the Strategy Manager, you will have a unique opportunity to drive the expansion of WSB’s infrastructure services in North Carolina. You will work collaboratively across our diverse groups and divisions, helping to grow our presence in commercial, government, and energy sectors while ensuring the success of our projects and clients.

  • Lead Business Development: Work cross-functionally with WSB teams to foster growth in key infrastructure markets across North Carolina. Build relationships with commercial, government, and energy clients, and lead efforts to expand our client base.
  • Strategic Leadership: Collaborate with WSB leadership to set growth targets and strategy for the North Carolina region. Be a key player in shaping the future of WSB’s operations in the area.
  • Project and Team Management: Use your technical expertise to oversee project management and execution, ensuring high-quality deliverables. Lead and support the Bismarck office team, providing direction on business development, client management, and operational goals.

What You Will Bring:

  • 10+ years of experience in Construction Engineering and Inspection, Municipal Services, Transportation Design or Planning, Land Development, Environmental Services, Energy, or Construction Management.
  • Proven project management experience, with a strong track record of successfully leading complex projects.
  • A solid regional network and the ability to leverage existing relationships to drive business growth.
  • Strong negotiation and risk management skills, with the ability to navigate business development challenges and close deals.
  • A motivated and positive attitude with a strong desire to learn and grow.
  • Leadership experience, with a track record of motivating and guiding cross-functional teams toward a common goal.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Deep industry knowledge and an established network in the North Carolina region.
  • Technical expertise in one or more infrastructure sectors and the ability to provide thought leadership to the team and clients.
  • Previous experience working as a consultant or as a client of a consultant in North Carolina, with a thorough understanding of regional infrastructure needs.
