Job Summary
The STEPS Office Assistant position will support the faculty, staff, students and visitors of the Institute for Sustainable Manufacturing (College of Engineering) by assisting as needed with day to day activities of the department.
The main responsibility of the STEPS Office Assistant will be:
- Placing orders for materials and supplies
- Following up on payments
- Receiving packages/documents
Other duties include but not limited to:
- Track/receive/distribute packages and mail
- Electronic and physical document management
- Monitor/maintain office equipment/general supplies
- Manage/maintain conference room
- Help plan/prepare for meetings, site visits and events
- Prepare Concur expense reports
- Submit general workorders and help tickets
- Other duties as assigned
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
- Proficient with MS Office suite (Outlook email/calendars, Excel, OneDrive), and Adobe Acrobat (creating, editing pdfs).
- Prefer familiarity/experience with Concur, SAP, and UK purchasing and/or payroll policy and procedures.
- Able to effectively manage multiple concurrent requests and priorities.
