The Quality Engineer will play a key role in supporting the success and scalability of our national data center BMS controls electrical installation program. This position will assist the QAQC Lead in developing and implementing standardized procedures, technical documentation, and quality assurance protocols. The Quality Engineer will also conduct field visits to evaluate installation quality, provide actionable feedback to project teams, and promote a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.


Responsibilities:

  1. Support the creation and maintenance of installation procedures, checklists, playbooks, and standard operating protocols aligned with project requirements and customer expectations.
  2. Assist with the development of training materials and best practice documentation for BMS controls installation.
  3. Conduct regular site visits to inspect BMS control system installations, verify compliance with project specifications, and identify quality gaps.
  4. Provide real-time feedback and coaching to project teams to improve workmanship, system layout, labeling, terminations, and documentation.
  5. Identify recurring issues or process breakdowns and collaborate with teams to propose and implement solutions.
  6. Support root cause analysis and corrective action planning in coordination with the QAQC Lead.
  7. Work with stakeholders to standardize QAQC expectations across all regions and help scale proven processes nationally.
  8. Help ensure consistency and repeatability of installation quality, especially as new teams or geographies are onboarded.
  9. Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, foremen, BIM/VDC, and commissioning teams to ensure alignment of quality objectives.
  10. Support the handoff and closeout process by validating system readiness and quality documentation.


3+ years of experience in electrical construction, low voltage systems, BMS, or related field

• Experience with QAQC processes, field inspections, and procedure development

• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset

• Willingness to travel to data center job sites across the U.S.

• U.S. Navy or military technical training background is a plus

• Detail-oriented with a strong sense of ownership and follow-through


Compensation and Benefits:

Salary range for this position is $80,000.00-$120,000.00 annually.

Opportunity for a discretionary year end bonus.

401k with a 40% employer match (up to federal limit.)
