About the Role:

We are looking for a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this role, you will maintain and repair our facilities, ensuring a safe environment for employees and visitors. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general building maintenance. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, a problem solver, and able to work independently or in a team.


Responsibilities:

  • Regularly checking equipment, machinery, and the overall facility to identify potential issues and ensure they are addressed promptly.?
  • Respond to service requests and emergency calls to fix malfunctions in HVAC systems, electrical outages, plumbing leaks, and other facility issues.?
  • Establish schedules for regular maintenance on critical equipment to prevent unexpected breakdowns.
  • Perform general maintenance tasks, such as repairing drywall, walls, restroom fixtures, humidifiers, RTUs, ventilation systems, and compressors.
  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all maintenance tasks and procedures to ensure safety and quality standards are met.
  • Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, and equipment history.
  • Prioritize safety by complying with OSHA regulations, utilizing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and following established safety procedures like Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with environmental regulations and policies.
Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED Required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in related field.
  • Knowledge of single and three-phase electrical systems (120 V, 220 V, 280 V, 480 V) and control power.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and troubleshoot electrical issues.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • General carpentry skills for minor modifications, including framing, drywall repair, and painting, along with basic plumbing skills for minor tasks.
  • Quick problem diagnosis and effective solution development.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time to minimize downtime.
  • Capacity to work independently and in a team.
  • Must be U.S. persons within the definition of ITAR, with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD Security Clearance. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree, Vocational or Technical Certification in Building or Industrial Maintenance.
  • Understanding of HVAC concepts.
  • Forklift and Scissor Lift certification.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to stand, walk, and climb ladders, and be able to work in confined spaces and at heights.
  • Lift or move items up to 50 lbs and assist with hands-on tasks when needed.
  • Dexterity to operate a variety of hand and power tools.
