About the Role:
The Lead Debug Technician plays a crucial role in delivering technical support for test failure analysis. Debugging printed circuit boards and product assemblies using advanced diagnostics and unique procedures at Spartronics Logan. In addition to hands-on tasks, you'll proudly lead the team—mentoring junior technicians, coordinating efforts, and ensuring high-quality standards. By fostering open communication and collaboration, and significantly increasing our team's productivity and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze test procedures, schematics, technical notes, and component data to identify the root cause of circuit board assembly test failures.
- Set up and operate complex test equipment in accordance with standard test procedures.
- Control, document, and process all non-conforming material.
- Provide technical support for in-circuit and functional test processes.
- Participate in the development of new product test procedures.
- Assist engineering in the implementation of new test tools and support as needed.
- Responsible for the quality of work-in-process.

- Supervise and mentor the technicians, offering technical assistance and guidance.
- Set team objectives, coordinate daily assignments, and prioritize tasks to achieve production targets.
- Foster a positive and collaborative environment within the team, encouraging open communication and knowledge sharing.
- Participate in cross-functional teams focused on process improvements, quality assurance, and productivity enhancements.
- Ensure documentation is accurate, complete, and aligned with customer standards.
- Maintain compliance with ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 13485, and ITAR regulations.
Work Schedule
- The schedule is a 4-day/10-hour work week, working a minimum of 10 hours a day overseeing the team.
- Shift 1: Monday 5:30 AM – Thursday 4:00 PM
- Overtime (OT): The goal is to limit OT, but it is a reality in manufacturing.
Requirements:
Required Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related field.
- 2 years plus of experience in system testing and debugging at the component level.
- 3 years plus of leadership, lead, or supervisory experience.
- Expertise in interpreting schematics, test reports, and diagnostic logs.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams and individuals.
- Problem-solving and critical thinking skills to diagnose issues and develop practical and effective solutions.
- Passion for the success, development, and engagement of team members.
- Strong proficiency in performance management and conflict resolution to enhance team development and collaboration.
- Ability to make decisions effectively and to ensure that production schedules are maintained.
- Must be U.S. persons within the definition of ITAR, with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD Security Clearance. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e., 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in IPC-A-610 or J-STD-001.
- Background in aerospace, military, or medical device electronics.
Physical Requirements:
- Perform complex testing tasks using specialized equipment and instrumentation.
- Lift test hardware or units up to 50 lbs as needed.
- Manual and visual tasks require close attention to detail.
- Extended time at test stations in controlled environments.
