Position will provide HR Business Partner (HRBP) support to personnel assigned to the F-16 Iraq CLS Program. Personnel assigned to this program support flying, maintenance and warehousing operations located at the following locations: Balad AFB, Iraq, Greenville SC and Tucson AZ. The HRBP will support approximately 250+ employees and will be the single point of contact for all Human Resources needs, to include but not limited to benefit administration, recruitment, positive employee relations and engagement, on-boarding and orientation activities, conflict resolution/investigation of disciplinary issues, payroll issues, compensation actions, etc.as required. The HRBP will be required to travel to Iraq to provide direct support to the in country team.
This position is responsible for providing effective guidance to program management regarding the development of staffing and compensation plans; researching policies and procedures governing international assignments; and coordinating with Global Mobility, Staffing, Comp & Benefits and Field Team Operations Support POCs. Related tasks include ensuring proper administration of benefits and allowances, updates to payroll data and employee information; assisting with immigration issues and ensuring all staffing documents (passports, visas, working permits etc.) are accurate, complete and compliant. This position will be the main point of contact for issues regarding deployment and/or evacuation of employee(s) from the compound in Iraq.
The HRBP will act as a trusted advisor, positively engaging with program leadership to influence and impact the organization by identifying resources and formulating/presenting actionable recommendations/options for leadership consideration. The HRBP is responsible for aligning HR initiatives with program needs and identifying retention strategies to support program performance.
In this role, the HRBP performs under general direction; participates in determining objectives for their program; plans, schedules and arranges their own activities to accomplish objectives. Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives.

BA/BS in Humans Resources or related field and previous HR Business Partner/generalist experience and/or HR Generalist experience in multiple HR disciplines
Must be able to travel domestically (CONUS) and internationally (OCONUS) to support program requirements .
Experience supporting a deployed workforce.
Must be willing and able to live and work in the Balad AFB compound for extended periods of time. Candidate must be willing to be available and on call 24/7, for emergency employee related issues
Experience interacting directly with employees and all levels of leadership
Prior experience working in foreign military sales or other government contracting industries ? aerospace or defense highly preferred.
Demonstrated ability to builds effective cross functional and cross site relationships
Ability to think strategically and execute tactical action plans
