Description
Primary Responsibilities:
Operate, maintain, and repair critical infrastructure systems, including:
Boilers, chillers, HVAC systems
Electrical distribution equipment (transformers, MCCs, UPS, substations)
Pumps, generators, and power systems
Building automation systems (BAS)
Monitor system performance using control panels, gauges, and BAS interfaces.
Respond to alarms, breakdowns, and emergencies, implementing corrective actions swiftly.
Analyze operational data to detect inefficiencies or early equipment degradation.
Perform both scheduled preventive maintenance and unscheduled corrective repairs.
Lead and guide Junior Operations Technicians in daily tasks and troubleshooting.
Maintain documentation for inspections, repairs, and operational logs.
Ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA, and company safety standards.
Coordinate with cross-functional departments during equipment outages and emergencies.
Basic Qualifications
TS/SCI w/ Poly Clearance is required
High school diploma or equivalent.
3–5 years of hands-on experience in automotive or heavy equipment maintenance and repair.

Working knowledge of facilities operations, maintenance, and space utilization.
Familiarity with building codes, safety regulations, and energy-efficient facility practices.
Basic experience in budgeting, cost tracking, and vendor coordination.
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Architecture, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
4+ years of experience managing facilities or office space planning in a corporate, government, or institutional setting.
Professional certifications (e.g., IFMA's Facility Management Professional (FMP) or Certified Facility Manager (CFM)).
Advanced knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and building automation systems.
Demonstrated experience in project planning, project scheduling, and contract management.
Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) or facility management software.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, lead small teams, and influence cross-functional initiatives.
Knowledge of sustainability practices and energy efficiency improvements in building operations
Ability to read and interpret technical documents, floor plans, and site layouts.
Strong communication and organizational skills to interact with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
Capable of handling routine problem-solving related to space allocation and maintenance needs.
Proficient with common office software (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Word) and basic facility management systems.
